Over the past few weeks, I have had the opportunity to work with some extraordinary people to pull off an event of epic proportion. While I would like to apologize in advance for specific people I have missed, I would like to acknowledge the efforts of Allen Pollack, Dorothy Litwin, Kay Sorenson, Joellen Freeding, and Jackie Pollack. In addition to this group, we had over 50 volunteers.
This auction was for such a good cause. For those of you not familiar with our station, you should check it out. We have middle-school aged children and seniors and everyone in-between hosting and producing programs. Many of the volunteers have little or no radio experience, but you would know it from the diverse and entertaining programs on the station.
My journey to Huntley Community Radio began in a random fashion, but has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
Thank you to everyone involved - we are one step closer to 101.5
